Early Years Specialist
Altram’s Early Years Specialists deliver and coordinate support services to over 60 Irish-medium early years settings in the North. This is provided through onsite visits, cluster training, networking events and by developing Irish immersion support materials that guides the delivery of early immersion play and language programme.
Management Support
Altram supports the provision of high-quality Irish-medium early education by building capacity in and offering advice to management committees. This includes guidance regarding training, recruitment procedures and legislative requirements. Information regarding funding opportunities and the Preschool Education Programme (PSEP) is circulated regularly.
Access NI Services
Altram is a registered body with Access NI and therefore offers vetting and recruitment guidance for Irish medium early years staff and volunteers. Our Access NI disclosure service ensures that our sector's workforce is compliant with regional safeguarding protocols relating to recruitment and selection of staff. This process is a legislative requirement.
